sphinxsix
AP - so probably the best version available. SQ of the original recording ..let's say far from perfection. Link to comment

sphinxsix
@TubeLover In my experience AP reissues are practically always the best available versions. Especially for tube lovers (check out the gear they use) . I wrote about it here more than one time. As for music and SQ of the original recording - it's obviously a question of a personal taste. KDinsmore
Firedog, I own this and it sounds fantastic. Even the CD side is good. The best I own (which included the JPN Pastmasters, other JPN and US issues) Steve did good on this. Agreed, this is the definitive edition as far as I'm concerned, though I don't have an original pressing on vinyl to compare it with. Both the thread title and various initial posts describe this as an Analogue Productions release, it is not, that is erroneous. Rather, it's an Audio Fidelity SACD reissue, mastering work by Steve Hoffman. Boycott HDtracks Boycott Lenbrook Boycott Warner Music Group Link to comment

I don't have my albums with me at the moment hence the mistake. http://store.acousticsounds.com/d/128723/Jeff_Beck-Truth-Hybrid_Stereo_SACD MikeyFresh 1 Link to comment
KDinsmore
I listened to this and the Pastmasters JPN release after I posted last night. Both are good but the AF version has a little something extra about it. It just sounds great. I have the 24/96 download as a point of comparison, and while that too sounds quite good, I also have to give the nod to this Audio Fidelity SACD reissue. Understood, and I didn't mean to attack anyone including the thread starter, just wanted to correct for accuracy in case someone went searching for this title and thought it was sold out or something if they couldn't find it on Analogue Productions. sphinxsix 1 Boycott HDtracks Boycott Lenbrook Boycott Warner Music Group Link to comment
