psjug
On second thought, I see that the B&K that made the Class AB 2-channel stuff on ebay closed shop. I think better not to include obsolete amps. B&K relaunched recently under new ownership but the 2-channel stuff is all Class D. I wonder if budget Class AB is bcoming a threatened species. Maybe you should get one of the variants of the GFA-555 - Plenty of them on ebay. Adcom still makes the GFA-555SE. Anyway, I still think you should include a well-regarded amplifier in the 100-200+WPC range if you are going to bother with doing this. Link to comment

(they call it Class A+D) Just to clarify - I'm not against Class D, but I'd hate for the Class AB choice in budget amplifiers to fade away. Link to comment
Kimo
I have heard the new Linnenberg monos in my system, and I don't think that you are going to get there with your tests. Of course, this presumes that the lower powered monoblocks that you currently have present a similar sonic signature. I am guessing that they do. Anyway, I would say that the Liszt sounds much like the Pass 60.8 in many ways. They are a little less smooth and warm, but are livelier in the bass and a bit more detailed. Link to comment

Hybrid Class D, with ULCAM (Ultra Linear Class A Module) preamplifiers and patented Class D amplifiers that take the whole class to a higher level. NuPrime won a Power Amp of the Year award from The Absolute Sound several years ago. There's more information in my links above. Everyone wants to date my avatar. Link to comment
