That or my ears have adjusted Must have been too hard to resist looking forward to the final verdict. Link to comment

From my understanding Have I to conclude that the Zenith SP alone is the better solution? http://www.the-ear.net/review-hardware/innuos-zenith-se-mkii-std-network-audio-server Link to comment

Certainly is up there with the best, if its based on their illuminati. Large choke input, Belleson super reg circuit, Mundorf caps. Not surprised the server is as good as you say. Link to comment

This is probably true on all audiophile servers. Similar with Zenith jumps £1600 when you opt for 4tb in lieu of 2tb SSD. Saw a 4tb new samsung 850 pro sell for £623 on ebay a couple of weeks ago. One of the good thing about DIY. Link to comment

More likely old stock the seller had a few on sale and positive feedback from previous sales all sold around £650. Theres one now for £775 and open to offers, yes they retail at the price you quote and most sell on ebay around that price. Manufacturers would get them at trade price but they do need to make a profit as well as the ditributors and shops. Link to comment

Because short of getting Sean Jacobs to offer a substantial custom mod its not a realistic upgrade path. I'ts very feasible, an external 3 rail supply such as Sean's DC3 in a linear atx formation could be incorporated to replace the pico supply in combination with the internal 3 rail supply. There are also a few routes to improving clock performance, the gap between products could be narrowed. Link to comment
