I think you're right. It can easily work with an Intel CPU 'T' type (around 35W consumption), but it is very hard to feed a CPU with around 100W needs (like the 6700K) with a battery powered PSU.

 

I have an i5 5675C, with the top of 65W, I think this is most what a PSU like Black Lightning can handle. It has 2 batteries inside and it charges autmatically from one to the other, but if you need more than the charger can charge you can / have to switch to dierct mode and wait a while the charger can the batteries fill. Of course you can listen to music meanwhile but it shows its best in battery operated mode.  I have flowing music with the 5675C. If you consider a CPU change the RWA is a good chioce! ?
