Apesbrain Posted November 16, 2017 Share Posted November 16, 2017 After ripping my CD collection first to WMA, then to Ogg, then to MP3, I figured out that lossless was the only way to go. FLAC/ALAC; it doesn't matter. Rip once and convert later to any format you might need. Be sure to have an off-site backup plan. On Windows, EAC > FLAC is fine. dBPowerAmp is another popular ripper. On Mac, set iTunes to rip to "Apple Lossless" format or many people like XLD. Old Plextor drives were good performers. Link to comment
