Alex00322
I bought a Golden Ear super sub X today. Hooked it up to the variable output on my Hegel. The problem I'm having is that depending on what I'm doing it messes with the levels of the sub instead of matching it to the volume I'm at. One example would be watching youtube videos. It cranks the sub volume all the way up and then it's too loud. Once I switch it to music it's basically 100% which is WAY too much for this thing. Would there be any loss in quality by switching it to the fixed output? Are there any drawbacks? Link to comment
Hegel Musisc System AS Official
Hey Alex. Our first post here. I am a little uncertain why you experience the problems you have. The variable output simply follows the level to the speakers. There is no difference in the variable output in the H160 compared to other brands or products. If you change to the fixed level output your sub will be at maximum volume all the time. Link to comment
Alex00322
I've since done some more troubleshooting and decided it's the sub that is at fault. I brought the sub back to the dealer. Waiting on a replacement. Thanks for the reply though! Link to comment
