I have my thoughts on the subject, as I have been letting the full bloom of AU24 SX's settle into my system for the past few hours. Anybody???? Without this turning into a cable hating thread, electrically, interconnects have a vast influence on the sound. Because of the varied construction and electrical characteristics of the cable, and the underlying leakage currents pass through the cable. There are those that say, a short doesn't matter, well, yes it does. From component to component leakage currents vary in frequency and amplitude then react with the cable, creating the different SQ from one cable to the other. Compounding the problem is that of the 0V, is it grounded or floating or a cap to ground, and don't forget the glue that holds the whole system together, the AC power supply. You can't compare a Nordost, Wireworld or a $2 RCA giveaway to say, oh, the midrange is clearer or the bass is improved, as a recommendation cause it totally depends on the system the cables are connected to. Cables are a personal choice, like everything else in Audio, like the colour or style of shoes, you like or not. jventer and johndoe21ro 2 AS Profile Equipment List Say NO to MQA Link to comment
