I really liked his work there.

My wife and I will always be huge fans of MTT. We particularly enjoy the excellent Keeping Score series and have always wished he would do more of those. Like Bernstein his mentor, he is a master music educator.

I feel many of his performances have exaggerated contrasts or abrupt transitions that do not seem to fit organically.  And I'm a huge fan of Bernstein and, to a lesser extent, Barenboim, so it's not as if I dislike interventionist performances.
