Booster MPS Posted October 30, 2017 Share Posted October 30, 2017 Agree. Great album that honors the songs in a way that Gregory as an artist does not get in the way. It's comes across as very "true". The orchestral arrangement takes the same approach. The only thing I am trying to put my finger on is that the recording of the instrument sounds like it was engineered to have them sound like a unit rather than a collection of instruments. A big unison sound if you will lacking the texture or distinction of individual instruments. But then, that is also how a lot of albums from the period sounded. Link to comment
