Bryston internal DAC

I am thinking about replacing my amp with a Bryston B100 integrated. These come with the option of an internal DAC. Does anyone have experience with this set-up ? The Bryston outboard DAC gets pretty enthusiastic reviews here. Does anyone know how the internal DAC would compare to the B100 coupled to the outboard DAC ?

I've no direct experience, but do recall various reports commenting that the internal DAC of the Bryston integrated and pre-amp was designed (and this was a comment from Bryston rather than from the reviewer) to improve secondary sources (Digital radio, DVD player, etc) rather than as being equivalent in level to the Bryston CD player or (by extension) the DAC.
