PSS CONDUCTORS: Solid conductors prevent strand interaction, a major source of cable distortion. Extremely high-purity Perfect-SurfaceSilver (PSS) minimizes distortion caused by grain boundaries which exist within any metal conductor, eliminating harshness and greatly increasing clarity compared to all other conducting materials.

FEP AIR-TUBES (FEP is a Fluoro-Polymer): Air is the best insulation because it does not absorb and later release energy. FEP is the best extrudable solid insulation because it absorbs less than other materials. The large FEP Air-Tubes used in Sky have almost nothing but air around the PSS conductors.

DIELECTRIC-BIAS SYSTEM (DBS, US Pat #s 7,126,055 & 7,872,195 B1): Greatly improved performance is made possible by a constant 72 volt charge on all Sky’s insulation. As 72 volts is far above the voltage of an audio signal, the result is considerably more transparency and dynamics than possible even from a cable in continuous use, with equipment that is never turned off. Because DBS battery packs are attached when Sky cables are assembled, Sky does not require an additional run-in period. Because there is no “load” on the two standard hardware-store batteries, they will last for years. A test button and LED allow for occa- sional verification of battery performance.

NOISE-DISSIPATION SYSTEM: 100% shield coverage is easy. Preventing captured RF Interference from modulating the equipment’s ground-reference requires AQ’s Noise-Dissipation System. Metal and Carbon- Loaded synthetics prevent most RFI from reaching the equipment’s ground-plane.

TRIPLE BALANCED: The 3 conductors in "Triple Balanced" Sky cable in sure that whether prepared with RCA or XLR plugs, the positive and negative signals have equally low distortion conducting paths. The 100% coverage shield is never used as an inferior audio conductor.

COLD-WELD SYSTEM: Novel plug design enables a perfect heat-free connection between cable and plug. XLR plugs are also available.
