Ralf11
I deleted an album from iTunes months ago, but the album cover is still coming over Wifi via Airplay. How do I get rid of it? Link to comment
kirkmc
How is it "coming over Wifi via Airplay?" When do you see it? I write about Macs, music, and more at Kirkville. Author of Take Control of macOS Media Apps. Co-host of The Next Track podcast. Link to comment
Ralf11
I see it on my TV (to which the Apple TV3 is connected via HDMI - TV3 is also connected to my DAC & pre-amp). It is in the screensaver, which is switched on after the album/song info is on screen for a while. Thanks in advance! Link to comment
kirkmc
Try this: https://www.kirkville.com/deleting-the-itunes-album-artwork-cache-folder-may-resolve-problems-with-album-art-displaying/ However, I think there's a cache on the Apple TV, and it may not update right away. wgscott
Is it once you purchased from the iTunes store? If so, it persists in the "cloud" so that you can re-download it. But you can hide the purchase if you really don't want anyone to see that you bought The Partridge Family Christmas album. Link to comment
Ralf11
No, I don't buy anything from Itunes (no music, no apps either). It is from a CD of Lou Reed's Metal Machine Music. I killed the cache folder so will see what happens this pm. Link to comment

kirkmc
I don't know how long the cache persists. It might not get removed unless you restore the device, which is probably something you shouldn't do, because it's not very simple. I write about Macs, music, and more at Kirkville.
