As owners are aware when you purchase the Femto there is a guide on how to get the best SQ by changing driver settings, well in Windows at least. As for Linux I believe it's just a generic driver. Generic what does this mean? it simply doesn't have all the settings Windows driver has, so can't be optimized?, is it an inferior driver?, if so, then can the driver be improved?/optimized? thanks for asking the question as I have the same thought about linux. @Marcin_gps the drivers for Windows are generic or specific ? Patatorz
Are you sure about the 2A ? I have in mind min 1.2A but perhaps I have a bad memory. Today I use 2 netcard femto external powered by one keces p8 through the usb so clearly not 2A and an uptone js2 (2A not a problem) Blog / Forum Link to comment
Patatorz
Already asked but Marcin Mentioned he has Limited knowledge on Linux. Antonello (Gentooplayer) said that you can play with kernel in gentoo. There is also other parameters but very unclear compared to what Marcin propose on Windows. Piero (Audio-Linux) : no feedback. I would need to deep dive next week to try to make some correspondance between the windows parameters and Linux parameters. Blog / Forum Link to comment
Patatorz
Hello, in fact i was fed up of trying to understand how to setup the optimized setups of Marcin and gave a try to windows 2019 server. I’m running this OS now and quite happy vs Gentooplayer and AudioLinux. There was some options in gentooplayer but impossible to understand the parameters behind. I should give a try with the new AudioLinux 2.5 while I would be on holidays in august. Blog / Forum Link to comment
