mwheelerk
Is there any compromise to the quality of audio by using a wireless connection? Currently my library is located on my iMac. I am wirelessly connected to a Time Machine which is my back up drive and wireless router. From there I am wireless to an Apple TV. I come off the digital optical connection of the Apple TV into an external DAC and then into my Integrated Amp. I think the sound is good but I would like to understand what the trade offs are, if any, of a wireless vs wired (ethernet or USB) direct connection to the Apple TV as they relate to audio quality.
