Kii Three - my impressions and pro reviews

Well, I think we are ready to go now with the update tool for the Kii Three.

On their website is a new section, called SUPPORT from where you also can access the update tool.

So have fun!

hmmm, I think that section has been taken offline now.....

But at least it seems to indicate that the release of the tool is coming soon

No, I just saw it there, downloaded the tool and updated. Updated both my speakers and Control to latest versions.

 

After the update, had to repair my Remote Control with the Kii Control and re-enter boundary settings. There's a warning that updating the Control can erase settings, and to write them down first. 

Have functioning BT now and paired the Kiis to my phone just to test that it works - it does. 

Can now impress my friends with songs on their phones through the Kiis.

Yes...the next feedback is then: this is not „Hifi“ 😂😂😂 it has Bluetooth!

I'm not seeing the upgrade tool on the support pages. Perhaps they have taken it down.

yes, it seems to be available again, and also the FW is newer than this morning.

The tool is now version 1.0.9 with the firmware for v2.0.

There is als a new nav section on the left now for operation of KC with firmware version 2.0.

Maybe you have to be quick before it gets taken down again....

Just arrived home to see this.  That section of the website seems to have been taken offline! Must be quicker next time!

I downloaded the V1.09 Kii updater on my MacBook pro. It says it connected to both speakers with usb but it crashes at once I push "update" button in the KII Updater application. Can't do any upgrade..

That's might be the reason for Kii taking it down?

Updated this morning v 1.08. Win10 , few seconds ago v1.09. Both times no problems.

Makes no difference here as I was logged in as root and the app still crashed with a segmentation fault due to an invalid address (?).

It's not an official release and it's not working according to Kii @ the Roon forum.

yes. they are apparently working on these new support pages with changing/updated content. So I assume they are in their final stages and maybe in a few days (before Christmas?) the support section is up and running with everyone being able to DL the lates FW.
