Michael Lach
Here's a few things I've found that are new in iTunes 12.2. There is now the option to add a playlist to "Add To Up Next". Previously, one could only play or shuffle a playlist, and a dialog would pop up asking if you wanted to clear the current Up Next list. This is a much-needed addition. When viewing the contents of an album in Album view, Command-A no longer selects all the tracks on that album. (Bummer!) When viewing the contents of an album in Album view, songs that are not checked no longer are displayed as grayed out. (Bummer!) There is now a "playlist" view filter in the upper right corner, alongside songs, albums, artists, composers, and genres. I'm not very clear how it's different from the Songs view, however Link to comment
Michael Lach
Installed the 12.2.1 updated. The following omissions have yet to be fixed: When viewing the contents of an album in Album view, Command-A no longer selects all the tracks on that album. (Bummer!) When viewing the contents of an album in Album view, songs that are not checked no longer are displayed as grayed out. (Bummer!) Link to comment
kirkmc
Yes, both of those are major bummers, but I think the unchecked tracks being dimmed is the most annoying. someToast
When viewing the contents of an album in Album view, Command-A no longer selects all the tracks on that album. (Bummer!)Command-A selects all tracks in all views for me, as long as the listing pane has focus. Link to comment
Michael Lach
Odd, it does. Specifically, command-A seems to work when the Library is selected under the playlist tab, per the following screen shot. However, when a playlist is selected, like in the screen shot below, it doesn't. Link to comment
someToast
Ah ha… for playlists in Album view Command-A does not work (I had only looked at views for My Music). As an aside, I usually manage playlists in Playlist or Songs view. The uselessness of Artists view really takes your breath away. Link to comment
Michael Lach
Yup, thanks. I've got a bunch of playlists that consists of my favorite albums of a particular year, so I like to be able to view some of them by album. Link to comment
