"waiting for apple to deliver your icloud music library"

Recommended Posts

I've signed up for Apple Music via iTunes on my Mac, with a library of 140k songs. I currently have a standard spinning radial lines indicator next to the Genius playlist, and a non-standard spinning nearly solid circle perimeter in the upper right corner, with "waiting for apple to deliver your icloud music library" displaying when I click on it.

I'm sure it'll take a very long time to match, upload, and sync my library. I'm curious about what the steps are in the process, though. What happens next? Is this all the user feedback I get? Will iTunes show be upload percentages?

I don't know. I suspect it's like iTunes Match, and could take days for that many tracks to match or upload. I'm not taking the chance with my full library yet; I've seen too many problems with artwork and tags being changed. (I have a test library on my laptop.)

Ok, you've scared me off. I'll cancel and wait. It'd be great to see screenshots of the whole process to migrate an iTunes library from a Mac to Apple Music. Kirk, hope you'll keep checking on the the artwork/tags issue, to see if Apple can fix that soon.
