I listened to the Bel Canto Black setup at AXPONA a couple years ago and was impressed.  I was pleasantly surprised by the heft of the components and their system sounded very enveloping there. Nice speaker system you have, too!

Well, I use to have the Reference Monoblocks but when I upgraded to the Mephisto my objectivist wife insisted that the Stereo version would suffice. I think she is biased about this but since she clearly hears the benefit of class A I decided to respect her decision.That, and, I also prefer to sleep inside the house ! 😲🤣

Ok, we are at a hi-fi forum with a thread about high end gear .... but what would we listen to, without musicians like the small blue one who obviously is missing his partner called M ...;-)

Edit: your equipment looks well selected and I'll imagine it sounds excellent, I heard some Vivid Speaker driven by  MolaMola gear last year in Munich.

I absolutely love the Vivids. I think Laurence Dickie, of B&W Nautilus renown, is an amazing speaker designer with function following form. For example the Clef shaped funnel not only looks cool (IMO) but "funnels the sound away and absorbs it so that it never comes back to interfere with the diaphragm". I got the G2s (mid-size) as the G1 (largest) I believe are really for a bigger space. The "vivid" sound is indeed vividly life like, which is to say neutral. nothing to detract from the music or bring attention to themselves.I listened to a great many speakers prior to purchasing the Vivids after extensive auditioning in my home.

 

The Vivids are a perfect match with the Gryphon Mephisto/Pandora amplification IMO, that same neutrality and transparency which just leaves you listening to music, not the gear (provided the recording is half decent). I have not heard them with MolaMola but did listen with a number of other amps and over the decades have owned many other amps/pre-amps. The Gryphon Kalliope DAC IMO is also extraordinary. I didn't go all Gryphon by brand loyalty and auditioned many DACs. I found for example the MSB DACs (Diamond V, Signature, Platinum) are for me too analytical with huge soundstage that  'impresses' people. The Kalliope just got out of the way of the music.I have not heard the MSB Select DAC and my wife says I never will 🤔! As I sit back and listen in awe at times, and as awe is replaced by musical joy, my upgraditis is virtually cured.

Thanks it was a lot of work, it took me about 1.5 years to make and it is almost all made of birch plywood with American walnut veneer. As you can see it is a d’apolito configuration with 15cm paper cone mid/bass divers and a beryllium dome tweeter. I chose this configuration for its point source characteristics. The only thing you do not see very often is that I can time align it. So I can tilt the two mid cabinets closer or away from the tweeter cabinet.

The bass is a closed cabinet with a 3,5 cm wall thickness and internal bracing. The driver is an 10” AudioTechnology flex unit optimized for a closed cabinet and a sandwich cone.

All this is cost me about 5000 euro in parts and really a lot of man hours.

Where are you crossing these over? Looks like it's all passive? Are you biamping? What is the f3 of the Audio Tech driver? Sorry for all the questions but diy speakers and class A amps are my thing. You made a lot of good choices, well done!

I understand that an important part is also the cat guarding the crossovers.

Mine also used to like to lie right next to my subs. Cats are bassheads, no doubt about it!

When my cat was a kitten she would crawl in the ports of my subs and I had to use cat wand to coax her out. Bass heads for sure!

Yes for now the crossover is all passive, crossing at 2.3 kHz and 300 Hz but I am thinking about making the woofers active with mono 500w ncore plateamps. 
Not sure what the -3db point of the woofer is. I measured and calibrated the speakers first in my living room checked everything in a good size anechoic chamber but those kind of frequencies are difficult to measure consistently so I am sure.

Very nice set-up. I know there's not much space, but have you tried having the REL's flanking your mains behind them?
