Allo digione use - what do I need to set this up?

I have to say it would be better for all concerned if Allo created a writable image for the DigiOne that supports Roon as HiFiBerry have done for their HATs.

With Digione's BNC not pops or any other artifacts, at least that's an improvement. May be the sound will improve with burn in of Digione or/and BNC cable, which is possible, but it is too much of a voodoo concept to me.

What BNC cable do you use? Are you using a quality LPSU to power the Pi?

The Allo BNC cable can be bettered easily for not much money - have a look on Ghent Audio.

 

And you *should* use an LPSU with a Pi if you want decent SQ out of it - the standard supplies suck balls.

You can't post you aren't happy about the SQ your system provides then get a shitty on because someone suggests things that will help. Take the advice or don't, it's your choice, but don't be a dick when people help or you'll get no help from anyone.

Lpsu benefits with Digione is near 0.

 

I struggle to believe that personally, my experience with Pi based HATs is that an LPSU always makes a massive difference to performance. But I haven't got a DigiOne so who knows?

Just a quick post to see whether there has been any development in the software for the DigiOne? Is there a true burn and play image yet (that requires no config)?

Has anyone compared the SQ from the HFB Digi+ Pro to the SQ from the ADO using the same power source?

 

Really want to try the ADO but won't bother unless there is a noticeable improvement in SQ over what I have already.

Also, what does the DigiOne do for clocking? The HiFiBerry Digi+ Pro has two seperate clocks; how does the DigiOne do it?

I have the new Mamboberry supply for my HFB Digi+ Pro. I also have a LPSU from Tomanek which is excellent.

 

I ordered the DigiOne last night, so we'll find out soon enough!
