Is this announcement still slated for tomorrow?

I have some $$ burning a hole in my bank account waiting for this to be released.

The latest announcement is before end of September.

Hi all, I have an Allo Usbridge (using dietpi) connected to my ODAC & O2 headphone amplifier, and am very happy with the sound!

Now I`m not able to get the GUI working by using the "dietpi-software install 159"  command. After quite some time it says: "Netdata has no installation candidate". See also https://github.com/MichaIng/DietPi/issues/3062

I cannot get the workarounds in the link to work.

Is there any way to install the GUI without Netdata? I`m stuck 😞

Yes, I did try to install netdata separately, but no luck.

I have done as you suggested, and created a new DietPi with the GUI included, and I have got that running now! Thanks!

I would like to easily be able to switch the USBridge off remotely to save power, as I do not use it very often. I can do that now through the GUI (used to have to go through Putty!) but is there an easier way? Does anyone know if that can somehow be done through Squeeze Ctrl or a similar app?

I know how that feels. I have two of these units. Both worked fine for 6 months or so. Then one started failing. Now the other one is failing as well and I've reflashed the eMMc card dozens of times with no luck.

Software: Roon [depricated: Moode Audio (http://moodeaudio.org), Audirvana Plus+]

Digital: Ayre Codex [upgrading to Ayre QX-5 Twenty]; Oppo UDP-205; [depricated: Raspberry Pi 2 with Hifiberry Digi+];  Synology Diskstation 412+ NAS;  Tidal

Preamplification: Ayre KX-5 Twenty;  Amplification: Ayre VX-5 Twenty; Speakers: Vandersteen 5A

Analog: Clearaudio Performance DC, Concept tonearm, Artist v2 ebony cartridge, Ayre P-5xe, Nakamichi 630 (Tuner… just for fun)

Cables: Audioquest Aspen for speakers, otherwise Anti-cables throughout (except Audioquest running from P-5xe to K-5xeMP)

This kind of support by a manufacturer  is always be appreciated and necessary too.

Besides the fact who or what is the problem of failure. shit happens sometime. Besides that to be acquainted with the ins and especially outs of for example DietPi took me days, weeks.😯

As per PM ,We suspect while changing the host name the Airplay/Shairport is not working, may be due to some dietpi configuration mismatch.

Can you check with Volumio ,in Volumio Roon Bridge plugins are now available and Shairport plugins available by default.

Forwarded details through PM also

Hi @Audio_Allo and @ALLOsupport

Other issue upgrading DietPi (6.18 > 6.26) from image: https://dietpi.com/downloads/images/DietPi_SparkySBC-ARMv7-Stretch_AlloGUI.7z

Leads ALLO Web GUI being unusable: "login failed" (dietpi-config setup from ssh still OK).
- Are you aware of this issue ?
- Do you still work with [email protected] and plan to update DietPi ALLO Web GUI image  ?

Thank's

ALLO Web GUI "login failed" issue (6.26.3) probably fixed in upcoming DietPi 6.27: https://github.com/MichaIng/DietPi/issues/3264

To solve now:

Hello all.

I've just updated my DietPI to the latest version (6.28) and now I cant use GMrender... System starts everytime with GMrender set to off. I can turn it on and can even see it in my bubbleUPNP client but that's all. I can try to stream music from my phone memory or Tidal and result is the same - no data comes to my DAC. The display stays blank. Any idea how to make it work without reflashing the eMMc card again? Or maybe there is another simple way to stream Tidal?

You've probably upgraded to DietPi v6.27.2, this is the latest version, AFAIK. Login to your DietPi via ssh and try the following:

# nano /etc/systemd/system/gmrender.service

Then find ExecStart=/usr/local/bin/gmediarender line and edit --gstout-audiodevice parameter on it to read:

--gstout-audiodevice=hw:1,0

Save edited file (Ctrl-O) and exit (Ctrl-X). Now reload systemd daemon and restat gmrender service:

# systemctl daemon-reload
# systemctl restart gmrender.service

Your DAC should work now.

Thanks a lot. That really helps. Everything is working now.

One more thing left. Everytime I switch my USBridge off GMrender is turning off too and I must turn it back on in web interface.

Maybe You know how to turn it on once and for all (like it was in old DietPi versions)?

# systemctl enable gmrender.service

Looks like another bug. I will try to submit it to the DietPi bug tracker.

FYI: Settings related to various integrated services are supposed to be configured via dietpi-services command-line tool but for some reason it does not work properly in case of gmrender. Neither does it work via the Allo GUI after the last system upgrade. But the above systemctl command should help regardless.

Dear allo,

i use a USBridge since some years. It seams that my sparky is getting a problem. It cannot connect to the DAC, if it runs longer than some hours. Because it is the same problem even without the USBridge installed i think it is the sparky which create the problems.

So the simple question is.

Is a sparky SBC still available as spare part?

you might also want to mention the software yours is running 😉

anyway: mine too, now and then (let's say... once a month or two), abruptly disconnects during playback and I have to reboot it

it runs DietPi 7.x

Qnap HS-264 NAS (powered by an HD-Plex 100w LPS) > Cirrus7 Nimbini v2.5 Media Edition i7-8559U/32/512 running Roon ROCK (powered by a Keces P8 LPS) > Lumin U2  > Metrum Acoustics Adagio NOS digital preamplifier > First Watt SIT 3  power amplifier (or Don Garber Fi "Y" 6922 tube preamplifier + Don Garber Fi "X" 2A3 SET power amplifier, both powered from an Alpha-Core BP-30 Isolated Symmetrical Power Transformer) > Klipsch Cornwall III

headphones system:

Cirrus 7 > Lumin U2 > Metrum Acoustics Adagio > Pathos Aurium amplifier (powered by an UpTone Audio JS-2 LPS) > Focal Clear headphones
