antonellocaroli
@allo.com @ALLOaudio Hi, I wonder, why the Sparky kernel is not updated for some time, stopped at version 3.x when the kernels are now version 4.1x? GentooPlayer home Facebook Documentation Link to comment

antonellocaroli
I read all the pages, I think that many of the problems encountered are due to the so old version of the kernel .... in the new kernels there are improvements a bit for everything even audio ... a kernel so old is unthinkable!!! sorry for the multiple posts, but I did not understand how to edit a message GentooPlayer home Facebook Documentation Link to comment
antonellocaroli
a patch is just a patch ... the kernels are also updated for other reasons ... see latency and more ....It is a unique project you can not get such an old kernel ... I still have no problems with sparki ... I still have to get there .... but if I had been better informed before ... maybe ... 17 minutes ago, volpone said: When using DietPi i think SPARKY kernel is "patched", especially ALSA native DSD playback support. Only when the CPU manufacturer gets involved and releases all registries and closed source info , then only upgrading the kernel its possible. They are working on it. I doubt that I do not accept the skills to update it !!! if it were a souce problem there would not even exist a 3.x kernel (remember that the kernel is open) Quote Meanwhile there are other commercial options if you need the latest kernel in a USB reclockcer. good advice Quote Good luck long life to the wolf GentooPlayer home Facebook Documentation Link to comment

antonellocaroli
arrived, made only trial operation, dips ... I think my Sparky has problems ... the system starts ... but I have no signal on the screen, as if there were no cables connected. the Lan does not seem to work properly, the lights near the connector turn off for a few seconds (even 3/5) and then start flashing again. I also have problems with the ssh connection ... even here as if it lost the signal ... ideas? ps: for those few seconds I was able to listen to music ... the sound seemed good ... but it loses continuously ... even with mp3 radio GentooPlayer home Facebook Documentation Link to comment
