Ralf11
It is true that at some point you have to do your own research on this via careful auditions using blind testing. But you can certainly narrow the field with input from others. I always consider the longevity of the manf. when making a major purchase - I learned that from experience... Besides the manf. going out of business, you may find that service manuals and parts are not available for your own repairs or for a pro to get. BTW, does Bryston have anything in the sub $3k range? They have a sterling warranty. Link to comment
Ralf11
I think of lean as being the opposite of a tubey sound - mellow, liquidity, and ranging to phat or bloated even... mea culpa, I have an ARC LS-25 Mk II (relatively non-phat for a tube pre-amp) any thoughts on running a Benchmark DACs output thru a tube pre-amp? Ralf11
I like it. I haven't done an A/B with my Sonic Frontiers Line One yet but will soon. The word on the street is that the Ref series is way better. <--- only a 2 line digression but we can start a new thread... Link to comment
