The person who holds the most blame is Gavin, IMO. He is the one who turned a $300 Geek Pulse into a $1200 product with more perks than anyone could sanely managed to build and distribute. My impression (going by things relayed to me that I can't share) is that he essentially shafted Larry.  He obviously knew that the Wave could never be made and bailed out, leaving Larry with an impossible mess, and presumably no money other than his own, and no-one willing to touch LHLabs with a 10 foot barge pole.

 

It seems Larry then found the odd company that had no idea what had gone on with LHLabs and managed to strike deals with them, until they found out the history and ran as fast as they could.

 

I once PM'ed a guy who was talking up LHLabs, back in about 2014 or 2015, telling that person about major red flags with the company, but not realising how buddy-buddy they were with the company. Next thing I know, at a CanJam I get veiled threats from Larry about what I'd said, while in the same conversation he's talking about how he had made $12m that year. 

 

IANAL but someone needs to focus on that payment LHLabs requested for shipping for the Wave, as surely it counts as wire fraud, given they never shipped anything.

And more importantly never had an intention of shipping anything, since there was nothing to ship. It was simply an outright theft.

 

Someone already has focused on it; it was in our complaint. It appears however that Larry, et al., were rather small time in the world of fraudsters, not being quite big enough for the authorities to wish to spend time building a case that as Mike pointed out has its difficult aspects.

 

I'm not quite as focused on Gavin as others. Larry was leader of the company throughout, and it would have been absolutely evident that there was no engineeering capability to do what he'd authorized Gavin to offer. Also, I'm a proponent of the "birds of a feather" theory: Can you think of a single stand-up guy involved with LHL during all these years?

You apparently only read part of this thread. 

 

Four lawyers filed a complaint before the State AG on California on behalf of the spreadsheet victims. The State AG declined to act.

 

I, an attorney, then filed the complaint with the Federal Trade Commission.  It has failed to act on that complaint despite status inquiries. I would not bet on it acting on this complaint.

 

I explained, above, a few posts ago, some of the reasons why this is a difficult case to prosecute for a governmental agency or litigation plaintiff.  That I, an attorney who lives in Northern California, haven't filed even my own small claims action should tell you something about the evidentiary proof problems and substantial legal issues in this case. 

 

As you have been all along, you are free to consult other attorneys in the hope you can find one who disagrees with my assessment.  I wish you success if you do.

If you are reading this Larry Ho-pe, keep up the great work and best of luck in your latest scam.

 

Larry has deluded himself by believing our LH Labs IGG money was an investment in Larry, personally (paying his mortgage, making his car payments, eating at restaurants, vacations, business trips to China, future scams, etc.), rather than money for imaginary LH Labs audio gear. 

 

It helps him sleep at night.

NFT's have been real enough for me this year to the tune of about $100k. And I even delivered them exactly at the moment of sale. 😉 Definitely not going to use an app designed by Larry Ho to track that money I can tell ya that!

I don't get it Jud. How are you making the connection to L. Ho?  That son.ai site seems just a fake and there are no apps for it at either the Google or Apple app stores. Just goes to a template page.  

I did enjoy all the bad English grammar on the feature page though. Sounds just like Larry's writing. Menu at top says "Get Start!" and further down says "...suggest the action items to automatically safe your money..."

Interesting that I just got an email from Indiegogo asking for feedback regarding a different campaign I supported. This campaign  fulfilled its obligation back in December 2020 (nothing like timeliness for feedback). One of the survey questions listed a multiple choice for how to improve and one of the available choices included the ability to request a refund... 

 

I wonder how many of us contacted IGG to inform them of all the LH Lab campaigns failing to deliver and that most of us would gladly accept a refund.

 

Isn't this just fine and dandy if not a day late and $6M short and for the wrong campaign...

I would be ever grateful if someone could pass on the list of victims and the complaint. I know this isn't exactly relating to seemingly robbing you all but just a tale of another victim of Mr. Fish.
