Interesting that there is only one, 4-second video about the Wave on their channel.   I still believe that they never planned to complete it.

I have to agree with Currawong. After 7 years of "Fake Updates," has anyone ever seen a "Working Wave Prototype"?

Any victims of the LH Labs/Larry Ho crime syndicate that live in California may also want to consider filing an action in small claims court.

Any recommendations for someone in Florida who spent over $7000 on this campaign and was sent several emails that my unit was being sent out. I never received anything and eventually Larry and Gavin and those on the other end went radio silent. I really want to go to small claims or file some lawsuit. Would appreciate any recommendations or direction.

Well well. Our old ‘friend’ Larry has been busy.
1. Changed his name to ‘Larry Hope’

2. Started a company in Rocklin, CA called SNO Ai.

3. Received a PPP loan in the amount of $31,654 in July of 2020 reportedly for 3 jobs retained. Business shown as ‘Audio and video equipment manufacturing’.
4. LH Labs also received a PPP loan for $38,750 in 2020.

At least now I know why no one has heard a peep from LH Labs in almost 8 months. Guys gotta earn.

No way!

The State AG is a lost cause right now.  We got zero traction with the previous case and the AG has zero jurisdiction over the PPA violations. We have a pending complaint at the FTC.  I may forward this new information to my contact there and see if I can't convince him to forward the complain to the US DOJ, which has been prosecuting PPA violations.  It is a Hail Mary but it couldn't hurt to ask.

Grifters gonna grift.

I know.  You read and see on TV about how aggressively they go after crooks but this flagrant violator is never pursued.  Then again, it's California where everything goes under the radar and nobody cares about anything.

Keeping things in perspective, California focuses its enforcement efforts on far bigger fish than this one.

While we all are perturbed about losing what surely feels like a lot of money to each of us, the overall economic impact, especially within the state, is small by scam standards and, despite the assumptions of many here, it’s a genuinely difficult prosecution to win:  To prevail against LH, we have to overcome our consent to the unhelpful crowdfunding terms and the distinct possibility the money was mismanaged rather than stolen.  To do either of those things for us, the AG would have to undertake a shit ton of investigation and document review to nail down a fraud case.

This is why we went out of our way when preparing the AG/FTC complaint to inform the joint  filers that this would be a seriously uphill battle and that each filer should insider hiring his or her own attorney if serious about recovery.

I always thought that the best way to go was to give Larry Ho(pe) very bad publicity in the USA and China. We may not get our money back, but we may prevent him from ripping anyone else off in the future.

Is there any remote chance of getting back my $7000-$8000 that I sent to these guys? I have so many emails from Larry and the other guys at Light Harmonic saying the unit was already sent out or would be sent out next week and it was being built for me and I was next in their queue for shipment. Dozens and dozens of emails back and forth with these guys over the years. Who can I forward the correspondences to or contact to help me make a case?

Maybe the FBI should be called in. :o I don't mean too much of a joke by that:

About 17 years ago I received a couple of visits (at the Hovland Company offices) by FBI agents investigating some nonsense claim of attempted price-fixing concerning our line of MusiCap film-and-foil polypropylene capacitors. It was based on some off-hand advice I gave to someone (who I thought we were friendly with) that he might do better if he raised the price of his parts a little bit--to be more in line with what was going on in the market and to sustain at least a modest profit versus cost.

Of course there was nothing there--other than a lot of wasted time. But if two FBI field agents had the time to drive out to investigate some web or e-mail comment, maybe some agent would like to sink teeth into some actual big dollar fraud...

Our case is definitely worth the FBI's time. This is a scam that had victims all over the USA. Larry Ho used sophisticated methods in order to rip us off.

Furthermore, I believe a large chunk of the FBI agents demographics is the same as the audiophiles demographics (male, well educated, middle upper and upper class). Perhaps there is a high end audio loving agent that will help us out? :-)

Can we still receive the document? My email is [email protected]. Please send to me. I really want to be included here and sign this affidavit.

It is too late for you to join the complaint that we filed with the FTC after the State AG declined to act.

I will email you a copy in a few minutes.
