Light Harmonic (LH Labs). Scam? USD$6 million not delivered since 2014

The only reason that Q&A request thing was posted is to satisfy the Indiegogo terms of agreement. A campaign owner has to update their campaign status every month. They were in violation of that for a couple months. I would not expect any replies to the Q&As.

I wonder if it would be worth contacting some of the audio press folks who they give glowing reviews from in their campaigns to see if they would publicize the fraud. People like John Atkinson, Stephen Stone, John Darko, etc. might want to know what their names are being associated with.

I think we may have another avenue to go after LH Labs legally. I was contacted by a person calling themselves "Gina Stewart" in early 2017 to pay for various upgrades to my Geek Source and Vi DAC orders which I stupidly paid. Note that this contact was outside of the Indiegogo campaigns and therefore it does not fall under the Indiegogo terms. Isn't this interstate wire fraud since I am not in CA? Was anyone else contacted by LH Labs for extra payments?

In your presented scenario, we would have given you money, still kept whatever money you paid, and then sent you your merchandise. 

 

In the actual scenario, we floated the idea of refunding you, not sending your merchandise, and then have you not discuss us anymore because there was no need to since you got a refund of some sort. 

This pretty much defines a "distinction without a difference".

His first true crime tale can be the story of one of the biggest crowd funding scams. He will have first hand knowledge.

I am curious how this scam has affected folks' attitude toward crowdfunding in general. I will never sign on to anything more than a couple hundred bucks no matter how good it sounds. In fact my first crowdfunding purchase since the LH Labs fiasco was a firewall router from Firewalla last month and I only did that because they are an established company.

 

You would think it would be in Indiegogo's interest to maintain customer confidence. Maybe we need to make more noise about the scam so they pay attention.
