Recommended Posts

Physical connection: LAN1 to router, LAN2 to microRendu (NAA mode) and USB WiFi adapter attached.

Steps:

  1. Server 2016 GUI fresh installation.
  2. DAC driver installation.
  3. Install HQPlayer.
  4. Add Wireless LAN Service through the Server Manager
  5. Create Network Bridge.  Will not work right now and be fixed in the next two steps.
  6. Add Diagnostics Policy Service and reboot.
  7.  Use the trouble shooting of the network in the system tray.  Apply the recommended fixes.
  8. Launch HQPlayer, choose NAA mode in the setting.  Your DAC should be ready.
  9. AO the partition.  Use HQPlayer as the shell and Autologin.  Reboot.
  10. HQPlayer will display cannot find the NAA player(mR here).  Don't worry, click OK, go to the setting again and you'll find your DAC:D

The detailed instructions with screen shots may be find here.

Hello

The warning of HQplayer is because the system is logging on "too fast" with the Autologin/Shell Replacement feature.

These are valid workarounds:

- Do not use the Autologin feature

- Use a "combo" shell replacement (Roon/HQPlayer for example)

- Update to AO 2.20 Beta 4. The HQP/NAA Shell Replacement of AO 2.20 Beta 4 already has that delay included

INFO: The Combo shell replacements are slightly "newer". They have an integrated delay so those kind of network conflicts because of too fast log in will not happen. It's planned to add this delay also on the regular Shell Replacements later on.

Best,

AudioPhil

Phil,

Thanks for the reply.  I am using b4 and tried the HQP/NAA shell but couldn't.  Don't know why.  Other AO users may try and report.  As long as you know it's a pseudo error  and HQP would fix it few seconds later, it's fine.

Hi

If you are not using the NAA deamon it is to be expected that the shell replacement does not install.

This is a checking feature in ServiceTool, it will not let you configure a shell replacement that would not work in the end.

Best,

AudioPhil
