Good idea.

 

For now you could setup your own custom activity stream that excludes sponsored forums.

This is part of the general problem that the interface alters, quite significantly, at a certain, specific width of the browser window - can anything be done to improve this?

Blame Google. Google drives everything on the web. It wants mobile first, so all sites switched to responsive design. Google then says it wants sites to load faster, so all sites remove items from the page to make it load faster. I could go on, but the point is there. Web is no longer driven by what's best for the user, it's all driven by what Google wants. Without Google, a site disappears.

Done right, it would create an Echo Chamber Effect that both objectivists and subjectivists would find equally pleasing.

Sometimes turning the device sideways is enough to bring out the missing bits. When not, at least Chrome has a "desktop mode" switch that lets you see the page as it would render in a full-size browser. I agree it would be better if there were some way to reach all the features also in the phone view. Going via a menu is of course acceptable. Some compromises have to be made on a small screen.

I’m having an issue when touching forum “buttons” on my iPad Pro. I have to touch them twice before they respond. For example if I touch the “next page” icon I have to push it twice to advance.

Happens to me also, but this seems to be an iOS/Safari issue, as I'm having similar problems with other forums that run different software.

Looks like it’s a Y2.02K bug. Happened to other sites as well at the turn of 2020.

Anyone else having issues with "Mark Site Read", where it does not refresh but still displays the threads.  This has been going on for couple of months now with different browsers (Safari, Chrome, IE, Firefox, Brave).

Is it possible to search for all posts in a topic by a given user, without needing to specify a search term? The search tool seems to require a search term.

Ah - never noticed that, Chris. Yes it works.

 

Only caveat is you still have to find a post by the user in the thread before clicking on the magnifying glass. I was envisioning a search just specifying the user name while leaving the search field empty.
