USB Audio Player Pro vs Onkyo HF

Hi.

Has anyone ever made a direct comparison between onkyo hf player and uapp (usb audio player pro) when connected to a decent external dac? Any difference in sound quality?

I prefer UAPP. But onkyo play pro is easy to use. Just be careful the android phone can play digital output.

I tested it about 2 years ago and I preferred HF Player from more reasons. It is able to upsample PCM to higher rate PCM or even DSD! It correctly recognizes DSF tags, UAPP didn't recognize them. So HF Player is something like pocket HQPlayer with restricted functionality. No filter selection and filter quality is corresponding to less powerful hardware, but for me ears it clearly improves PCM sound when listened on DSD capable DAC.
