No, the discount is not cross-product. So either one is fine for HQPlayer 4 Desktop upgrade (you  need just one for all three platforms), but not for HQPlayer 4 Embedded.

Okay thanks. If the discount was cross-product you would probable sell more licences.I like embedded but at $ 320.00 Canadian I will be sticking with HQPlayer 3 for know.

Think of the list price being already extremely discount. What other audiophile gear can you get at similar prices? Not many DACs or anything else are as cheap. And not many of them spent 20 years developing their product.

I understand your point.HQPplayer is far superior to any other product.

I think I found the issue. Timing problem at playback start that seems to happen only with Windows NAA... I have now built a 4.12.1 OS image and Ubuntu package with change that hopefully fixes this. But since it's a timing problem it is hard to be 100% sure, please let me know if 4.12.1 still makes NAA bail out! At least I cannot reproduce the problem anymore. I'll shortly update the other packages as well.

Working so far with latest release

Miska,

Now I've updated to the latest version of the embedded bootable image, it won't connect with my NAA. Please see following log: the bootable image is at the address 192.168.1.128; the NAA is named 'OrfeoRendu' and is on 192.168.1.132.

Maybe it does, but the short term support Ubuntu releases like 19.04 or current 19.10 are not supported. Only long term support versions are, so 18.04 LTS at the moment. I will move over to the next LTS (20.04) when it becomes upgradeable from the previous release, which is at the time 20.04.1 is released (probably around June 2020).

Yes, of course native DSD playback is supported.

So does 18.04 LTS support native dsd playback

That depends on a particular DAC and the particular kernel version you have from Canonical (who maintains Ubuntu) at that moment.

In that respect you are mostly good these days with the stock kernel, especially from the hwe-package feed which is at the moment at 5.3 kernel.

Okay Thanks.Going to use Linux 18.04 for network audio.Which download should i use. Were do I find it when downloaded to add to start up

If you use it for network audio, I'd recommend Ubuntu Server with minimal installation, so that it doesn't have any graphical user interface. 18.04 is called Bionic Beaver, so the package is under "bionic" folder.

However, if you are not familiar working with Linux command line, I'd recommend to download the bootable image instead (under "images"), and using something like Etcher for writing it out to a USB memory stick. You can then just boot from it, no further actions needed.

Okay thanks.Did the bootable image. In naa login do in need to enter anything ?
