iomega media player

i bought an iomega screenplay proHD mmedia drive a few months ago which suited my ideas of music and video player as well as storage BUT despite playing wav files its output is inadequate as for sound through my system (krell etc)

after months and months of my testing to prove it as problem with the player and lots of useless emails from their support - still no decent sound

my thoughts are that its output from whatever player and codecs they use is too loud but their system files are not accessible anyway

any ideas from anyone out there
