MQA is Vaporware

Hi Dennis - almost every DVD and BluRay video out there has audio processed with Meridian Lossless Packing (MLP) - at least it certainly does if it includes Dolby TrueHD. It is just an invisible tax levied upon every DVD or Blu-Ray fan.  It's the ancestor of MQA, and probably an important example for the MQA business model.

Are you sure about that?

Oh yes, and how exactly is the audio packed on those disks? :)

The world changes quickly, so I won't argue. The vast majority of my DVD collection is over 4 years old though, and there is a lot of MLP on them.

This is valid only for DVD audio players equipped with an MLP decoder.

But as you say it's old stuff who care😀
