I have purchased the Ghent Linkway CAT8 JSSG360 cable and have used it for the last several days. It is superior to the AQ Cinnamon and CableMatters CAT8. The presentation seems smoother and more balanced, with slightly improved dynamics over the CM 8/Monoprice Cat8 in my system. It highlights some flaws with the CM 8 IMHO, in the upper frequencies.

 

I will probably try other more expensive options in the future but this Ghent cable is staying in my chain in some capacity for a very long time. I will probably pick up another one.

 

 

My Audioquest Cinnamon Ethernet was also replaced with a cat8 Ghent ET-12 Linkway Ethernet cable and the improvement was significant.

 

I also keep an emo systems EN-30 and a Acoustic Revive RL-1 filters before my ultraRendu, not expensive and significant improvements.

My short JSSG USB from Ghent was more or less the same as my short Wireworld Starlight and both were significantly below my Curious Evolved Regen Link.

Thinking about it, a little ventilation for the case could do wonders as well, especially if it was applied in such a fashion as to encourage convective airflow though the case...  The case is small, so the internal air volume heats up a lot.

 

Or just get rid of the case and run the board alone. 😁
