flat6
hi, i'm looking for a ref. grade AES/EBU cable to use btw Weiss AFI1 & Berkeley Alpha 1 DAC. am presently using a Nordost Odin XLR cable. i do like this cable (extremely high resolution, even tonal balance, etc.), but it's quite a waste as i only use a single cable (fm a pair). am not too keen on the Odin AES/EBU cable cause re-sale might be difficult (should i decide to get something else someday). the only other AES/EBU digital cable i've used was the Stealth Varidig Sextet. didn't really like this cable. wondering if i could get some other recommendations? thks in advance. ackcheng
Maybe you can try some professional cable? Those with 110 ohms and good shielding are good. Magomi, Canary, Belden are common brands. More exortic options include Zoalla, Oyaide. Link to comment
ted_b
cable, and costs all of $89 for 1M. It's a value favorite for Dave Clark at Positive Feedback. I love the sound. The Computer Audiophile
In the inexpensive and very good category I use Gotham cable. In the very expensive category I have Kimber Select and Tera Labs. I'm using a pair of Tera Labs AES cables from the dCS Paganini Upsampler to the Paganini DAC.
