KODI users question ... no sound when playing dsd

Any Kodi users here?

 

I just installed Kodi first time after finding out i can use it to watch tv episodes, and the interface seems nice enough for music too.

I pointed to a test directory i use and it has flac wav and dsd music....the flac's and wav play fine, but not the dsd. It looks like it is playing but no sound.

 

My guess it is trying to play natively and the pc i installed it on only has a dragonfly. Is there a setting somewhere i can't find to tell it to play dsd files in pcm? ON the same pc, i can use other program to play the same dsd file though my dragonfly, so i know it is possible...maybe i need an addon or setting somewhere to work?
