mayhem13
Mostly mastered just for the format so no silly upsampling to HiRes. Seems lots more artists re-releasing older material this way.....more than SACD anyways. Tracking down the new Pink Floyd box now! My Pioneer Elite BD player does an excellent job with these discs for some of the best playback i've heard to date. Can't say it's the hi resolution and NOT the remastering though! AudGuy
Yes, some of the Blue-Ray offerings sound fantastic. I have a Cambridge BD751 and have been acquiring Blue-Ray and SACD disks that I play quite frequently. So while my computer music setup is also quite good, there is something special in the BR playback. Mostly, I think it is the multi-channel aspect that is frequently offered with this format.
