Hello Jazzhd,

JL audio make a very good subwoofers. I have looked them before take the decision to get the Rel's.

Parasound look very nice. You have plenty of juice with that!

For power amp, I use ClassDAudio SDS470c (one 4 channels and one 2 channels).

I am looking for Linn's power amp for a "possibility" to upgrade my actual amps. I need something not too big and run pretty cold because my room is a bedroom (no clim). But I need to listening one of their amp at home in my installation to figure if they a real upgrade or just a side move.

But we deviate from the subject ... lol

I have in order mini-xlr to xlr cable. My Exasound E28 is a mini-xlr connectors. My friend don't want build cables with mini-xlr ... it's too tiny !

I am curious to know how E38 sound compared to E28 but almost no one report listening impression.

Hi Pompon,

If you want to test your sub, play the track "Regular Pleasure" from the album "Verse" from Patricia Barber. The bass drum on that track is a big test for a Sub to play it "musically".

Not all the Sub can play accurately and musically that punch.

The beauty with Parasound A21 is that the frist approximate 10 Watts are in pure class A, so for the Tweeter and upper mid it is almost always in Class A.

Of course the downside is that idle state consume some energy.

Concerning mini xlr, you can buy those from the company "Laird". The model I have is: SD TA3F, 7 foot and SD TA3F 5 foot, well build and good price.

On the Exasound site, you can see a review from Kal Rubinson here:

https://www.stereophile.com/content/music-round-85-nimitra-exasound-baetis-roon

Go to that link to see the main improvements from the Exasound new DAC, using the Sabre 9028.

Would you happen to known where i can download this album ?

I see it’s available on iTunes, but I suppose that isn’t an option together with Roon.

Hi R1200CL,

There is a 25% sale on Patricia Barber's site right now, if still interrested.

Can't see. Even with a VPN and american IP .....

But $15 isn't bad. It's the freight. And I rather download it if possible. As I dont use CD's. But seems not an option.

I actually bought the album Nightclub from HD tracks last year at $12.

I am using a Merging HAPI with premium cards and love the superb sonics. My business partner is using a minDSP U_DAC8 and it also sounds very good. Amazing bang for buck.

What soundcard are you using for measurements? HAPI ADC card or something else?
