Up for sale ia a Black Audio Research DAC-8 D/A Converter.

 

 

 

This is one of the best sounding DACs that I have ever heard (and I heard a lot of them).

 

It is on the warm side of neutral, very easy to listen to, wide and deep soundstage and it makes the speakers disappear.

 

If I didn't have (and need) a DAC/Streamer combo, I would have kept it, without hesitation. The DAC-8 with black front don't come up for sale often.

 

Unfortunately it is not perfect. The print under the power button has the leter 'e' and 'r' rubbed off a little. On top there are a few light scratches, that I bet you won't see from a foot or 2 away. The left top corner of the left handle on the front has a small scuff, which you wouldn't have noticed if I didn't mention it. It seems like a lot, but when you see it in person, it isn't all that bad.

 

See pictures. I have ordered a brand new shipping box (and inside packaging) from Audio Research, which may delay the shipping with a few days.

 

The remote is a Logitech universal remote, programmed to work with the DAC-8.

 

These usually sell for $2500 - $2700, but because of the small blemishes and not having the original remote I am selling this one for less.
