I would love to get Meddle and Obscured by Clouds in HiRez.

I'll wait on this. I've got an audio buddy who already has the double disc CD version and will check that out.

Ummagumma Live Album in HiRes - anybody ?

Even Pink Floyd says it is unlistenable.

(I actually bought the iTunes single of "Several Species of Small Furry Animals Gathered Together in a Cave" but I think it would require some fairly heavy drugs to appreciate fully.)

I stopped doing anything that results in Roger Waters making money, so I'm not interested.

I have the mono CD release of Piper at the Gates of Dawn (30th anniversary) and think it sounds really good.

Also the MFSL CD of Meddle, which also sounds really good.

Ummagumma has pretty shitty sound, I doubt buying it in hi-res will help much. Maybe just buy the regular CD and be done with it?

The Floyd is sort of an odd band to buy a hits/collection album from. Most of their music is pretty album centric.

You might be better off hi-res digitizing one of the old vinyl versions of this music from the original albums. They can't be that hard to come by, some of you probably own some of them already...

Main listening (small home office):

Main setup: Surge protector +>Isol-8 Mini sub Axis Power Strip/Isolation>QuietPC Low Noise Server>Roon (Audiolense DRC)>Stack Audio Link II>Kii Control>Kii Three (on their own electric circuit) >GIK Room Treatments.

Secondary Path: Server with Audiolense RC>RPi4 or analog>Cayin iDAC6 MKII (tube mode) (XLR)>Kii Three .

Bedroom: SBTouch to Cambridge Soundworks Desktop Setup.
Living Room/Kitchen: Ropieee (RPi3b+ with touchscreen) + Schiit Modi3E to a pair of Morel Hogtalare.

All absolute statements about audio are false :)

Back in the day, one of my BFFLs and I listened to this regularly on his stereo - which was a portable stereo 8-track player (two speakers)! It does sound interesting in headphones, though....Especially late at night and doubly so if on some sort of substance.

I remember hearing it on the radio for the first time while studying for a Math final. Mind blown because it was so weird.

See Emily Play is a tremendous favorite of mine. Arnold Layne and Careful with that Axe Eugene I love too. Syd Barrett could actually write some fine songs before his mind went.

Analysis of my Ummagumma CD, PFR4, mastered by James Guthrie and Joel Plante in 2011 - not so bad for a 1969 recording ...

(but with some 21st century peaks ...)

Keith

We just got it in the radio library yesterday. I really like it. Just have the CD quality of it. It sounds like a good remix to me, considering, but my system isn't exactly state of the art... First disc is a selection of the older songs, second disc (bonus disc?) is jam stuff from 2016- not so good.

I'd say if you like early Pink Floyd it's worth it. Personally, I love Syd Barret- with or without PF and am really enjoying this.
