HQ Player Update Anomaly

I've attempted to update HQP from a previous version to release 3.14.2 x64 last month, and now 3.14.3 x64 earlier this week. Both updates load OK but when I attempt to play something, HQP crashes for both versions:

 

I updated Foobar2000 at the same time as the first attempted HQP update, and all files play fine on Foobar2000.

 

Running Win 7 Professional x64.

 

Any ideas of a solution?
