audio.bill
I would also give a listen to the CA Precision dac Did you mean the CH Precision DAC? Link to comment
audio.bill
I own an Aqua LaScala, and feel it is worthy of consideration. If I were to make a change, I would be looking primarily at a Bricasti M1. I would also consider an MSB Analog DAC, if I if didn't care about balanced operation. Kimo - You may want to consider the new Optologic upgrade to the Aqua LaScala DAC, it's supposed to be a significant improvement. Link to comment
audio.bill
I'm working on getting The Formula from Aqua Technologies in. That one is under $10k. Every time I've heard it, I've been very impressed. Scot - I believe you may be mistaken about the price. Last I saw the Aqua Formula DAC was $13,800 US. Their newest version of the LaScala DAC uses some similar circuitry to the Formula and is priced well under $10K, I think it's around $7K. Link to comment
audio.bill
What filter setting do you use. I don't own an Aqua DAC (yet!) and was just commenting on their retail pricing. Link to comment
audio.bill
Sorry I know I'm a little off topic here. I been seeing the term "HQPlayer" lately on posts, could you please tell what it refers to? Thanks No problem, it's an upsampling audio player considered by many audiophiles to be the best sounding (that's subjective of course). HQPlayer Link to comment
