I’m using Jremote/Jriver DNLA server/wired network connection/Kef which also works well.

When set up that way JRMC finds the Speakers as a renderer and plays really well. Simple and good enough not to miss my SMS200 much so another box less in my room.

I'm using Jriver Mediacenter 23 on a MacMini.

I can stream to the KEFs but there's a glitch with every new title and cover art and metadata take about 15 seconds to reflect the new title.

Scrolling forward and back isn't smooth.

I blame Mediacenter 23 (not the KEFs) for this misbehavior.

Using Mediacenter as a controller for DNLA doesn't make me happy.

Direct connections via USB or TosLink are fine, however.

I feel with you!

I've also got the performance stands and replaced all cables with white ones.

The only exception was the optical cable for which i found no white replacement.

What i find a little disappointing: The stands color doesn't quite match the white of the speakers. I'll bring them to the car varnisher to repaint them.

But i love the cable management and the chance to fill them with sand.

And they really look good to me.

My stands are quite a bit more beige than the speaker fronts.

Maybe the speakers will become beige, too.

I didn't choose my white cables for audio quality but only for eye-candy.

But i changed each of the cables of my fully connected LS50w(s).

So the cables probably would become more expensive than the speakers with really high audio quality.

Is the Atacama Atabites really more heavy and dense than quartz sand?

Did you fill the entire height of the stands or part of them?

You can't update the speaker firmware over ethernet or WiFi.

A USB connection from the computer to the speakers is needed.

Does anybody know, how many Bluetooth connections the LS50w can remember?

I recently added my AppleTV via Bluetooth, but since then my MacBook Pro can't connect via Bluetooth any more. I then deleted the connection in the Mac's Bluetooth settings and tried to re-add the Mac. But it can't reestablish the connection to the LS50w (connection rejected).

Can i reset the LS50w's internal Bluetooth memory or delete one connection?
