Audio_ELF
By the way: The KEF Blade family would benefit even more from activation! You forgot to mention the Muon! Those active ... swoon! Eloise --- ...in my opinion / experience... While I agree "Everything may matter" working out what actually affects the sound is a trickier thing. And I agree "Trust your ears" but equally don't allow them to fool you - trust them with a bit of skepticism. keep your mind open... But mind your brain doesn't fall out. Link to comment
Audio_ELF
Some may argue that it's not a good idea to build a DAC inside a speaker because of vibrations.. [/QUOTe]It seems more and more active speakers are going that route. I prefer active speakers with no dac. You can keep a good speaker for years but dacs get outdated more quickly. Putting a DAC internal to the speakers allows for DSP for crossover as well as allowing room and speaker correction to improve performance further. Eloise --- ...in my opinion / experience...
