MikeJazz
Despite Linn's position, I think speaker/room synergy is the most important aspect of audio enjoyment. That said, the Goldmund speakers with DSP are amazing. Linn are at the race of speaker/room interaction, with their Exakt technology. http://www.computeraudiophile.com/members/mikejazz/ funded this campain: http://igg.me/at/geekpulseaudio/x/5216671 Link to comment
MikeJazz
I was never impressed with their speakers, although I did own a pair of Helix 2's back in the day... I am also not impressed. Good on paper, disappointing at the practical result. I guess that they are relying too much on DSP. Usually the loudspeakers are set almost against the wall because they want to demo the DSP room adaption capabilities. Even so, too much money for the result. http://www.computeraudiophile.com/members/mikejazz/ funded this campain: http://igg.me/at/geekpulseaudio/x/5216671 Link to comment
MikeJazz
TAD reference one never failed to impress me. There was a magical moment also with a B&W Signature Diamond (and I am not such a fan of this brand). So I got a crush on these babies also because of their particular design (anyone has a used pair to part away?). Recently the Raidho has been practicing my kind of sound. http://www.computeraudiophile.com/members/mikejazz/ funded this campain: http://igg.me/at/geekpulseaudio/x/5216671 Link to comment
MikeJazz
Drum solo's never sound good. Just like bass solo's or most guitar solo's. All solo's end in wankery just to show skilled they are but they have nothing to do with music. Jazz musicians and rock metal guitarist are the worst offenders. See how good I am see oh please see and listen how skilled I am how many notes I can cram in a few seconds of play or how good I play this 3/17 timing. This comment made my day. Loved it.... I guess all percussionists should kill themselves... AHAH! http://www.computeraudiophile.com/members/mikejazz/ funded this campain: http://igg.me/at/geekpulseaudio/x/5216671 Link to comment
