nano35
Another frustrating A4L user here. I have updated to 4.1 the latest. It still does not import songs correctly. Some missing second half of the albums, some have first song missing. I however can search those missing songs and playback them. Also identical songs with same names from different compilation albums cannot be imported. And The remote app is virtually unusable. Extremely slow and unresponsive after first minute of use; and it forcefully plays everything in Random. ( no, I don’t have “random play” on). I enjoy joy the sound quality very much but it is just too buggy to control. Lio_B 1 Link to comment
nano35
Upgraded to the latest version 4.2.402-166. It is the best improvement by far. smoother, more responsive, importing without a glitch. In the previous versions, all songs are imported successfully but some songs do not show up under "Album". It is fixed now. I found a new bug: when playing back DSD files, it skips the first half second; and still some popping noise between songs in "upsample" mode. iPad remote is still problematic. I would suggest: 1. to add "Genre" on the left column. It is very useful. 2. multi-select songs/albums so I can quickly put them in my "playlists". The sound quality is just amazing! Good job! nano35
I am still on El Capitan OS; I don't want to upgrade as a few of my softwares will go berserk. My Amarra 4 version is 4.2.445-184 and it seems more stable on El Capitan OS. The SQ is invincible, that is for sure; but it takes forever to fix those little glitches which should not be happening in a commercial product at such price tag. But now.... I discovered that raspberry Pi3 with moode audio gives me a very joyful and musical listening experience. I now free my mac so I can concentrate on my graphic intensive work. Sometimes I still hook up my mac using Amarra via coaxial just to compare or out of curiosity. Pi3 is cheap and the music apps are free: Moode, Volumio, Rune, Picoplayer etc. and the all the Pi3 music apps actually are more sophisticated....you know. Link to comment
