New Amarra 4

I said that I would give chance to Ammara, despite all the criticisms regarding to its library functioning, so I bought Amarra Luxe and SQ+. Everything OK regarding to sound, but: 

  • is there something/anything to do that Amarra will show correct order of songs. I gave up with “one compilation” showed as a “ten separate artists with one song”, but incorrect song order when I listen “one artist” album, this is really irritating. This is happening in about 10-20% of all albums. Erasing albums from amarra, updating library, re-tagging etc. won't work.

  • (I also have problems with ammara remote (not showing album artwork etc.) but probably this is also a known fact?)

Thank you very much for your time to talk with us and for your effort regarding to functionality of library management. I did upgrade (4.1.364-146) but unfortunately my basic and essential problem still appear. (If nobody else have the same problem then please tell this to me, so I have to look for another reasons/solutions).The song order regarding to the same album are completely different. I have for example Norah Jones same album in different versions but always different (wrong) song orders - see picture attached. And this is just one case and I have a lot, a lot of similar cases in my library? This never happens in Audirvana, so tagging etc. is probably correct.

Dear Ralph

I have bought an amarra 4 luxe but has been useless for me, there was many upgrades but essential problem still exists.

In many albums (after importing albums to Amara 4 Luxe library) track order is completely mixed. Scanning or Erasing and Adding folders albums again etc. don’t help.

PLEASE GIVE ME AN ANSWER what is happening here and what can we (you) do about it. I inquired about this problem several times before and never received an answer.  

I would like to use amarra library and do not intend to use iTunes integration mode in upcoming upgrade release.

I bought Amarra 4 luxe few days after it was released and since then I read this forum daily,  I know by heart every page of this topic and I have already ask this question at least three times and I would appreciate if Mr. Ralph could give me an answer. I have never done any antipropaganda, I never asked for a money refund … just want a fair play and professionalism. First step could be at least an answer from Mr. Ralph.

I have same problem, since I upgrade to beta version 4.2.427. I deleted beta version and install again last official version 4.2.427-184 from amarra website, but no success, even if I “don't touch” the browser mode. Every time I close amarra app and open it again I have to rescan library and this mean it’s impossible to listen amarra. Is there any solution, please….

After year of using audirvana I want to upgrade to latest amarra 4.3.473  (on Yosemite 10.10.5) to see what’s new there, but after upgrading and launching I get a massage “Amarra Luxe cannot be opened because of a problem. Check with the developer to make sure Amarra Luxe works with this version of OS X. You may need to reinstall the application. Be sure to install any available updates for the application and OS X. Click Report to see more detailed information and send a report to Apple.”

 

I uninstall and reinstall amarra few times but no success. What else can I do?

I found on forum that Amarra Luxe had update, so I downloaded latest version to see if “wrong song order list problem in Amarra library” is fixed. Quickly I found the problem is still present. HOWEVER, I FOUND SOMETHING ELSE THAT COULD BE THE SOLUTION! But I need you to verify this solution, maybe you can reproduce the problem so we could confirm solution.

It was late night when I was experimenting yesterday, so I checked this solution on only one or two albums. If I Import music folder to Amarra library from sheared folder - NAS (Synology) sometimes, it happens that song order list is wrong. I could carefully re-tag again and again but no success. And there is no logic, everythime wrong song order list could be different.

But If I copy music album from sheared folder - NAS (Synology) to mac mini where is also Amarra Luxe installed and rescanned/import album to Amarra Library from mac mini, then the song order list is correct.

Before I buy the biggest possible SSD disk for my mac mini and copy all my music from Synology to mac mini I want that somebody confirm my observation.
