rando
Came across a Persian group named "Rohub Ensemble" today. Without doubt I would pay not to have to see them at any of the live performance spaces they recorded videos in. This to me exemplifies where a lot of the trouble I have listening to world music stems from. This first video appears to have been shot in their home and the second en plein air. Amazing what a difference that makes compared to some college amphitheater they shoved a podium off stage at an hour earlier. semente 1 Link to comment

Popular Post sphinxsix
An amazing vocal duet - Pandits Rajan & Sajan Mishra. They are performing tomorrow in Bimhuis in Amsterdam and I'm tempted to go to hear them live. I regret it was too late to get the tickets for a whole day series of Kronos Quartet's concerts which were suprising collaborations with ethno musicians from Mali, Vietnam and Iran in June (also in Bimhuis). christopher3393 and semente 1 1 Link to comment

Oaky, I was prepared to be pissed at you for polluting this thread with more of your cow sh*t (everyone knows you have a fetish and your own Cow Music thread), but indeed this fellow plays amazing cow horn! rando
@Superdad You missed your chance to rile him up with a comment about how insincere the performance was in the physical sphere. He absolutely failed to incorporate a horn mooo-te in his act. Link to comment

I have a couple of his unofficial live recordings and I must say all are good. Haven't encountered this concert issued as a bootleg though, hence my 'album' of the evening - Astounding Eyes of Rita live in Coutances. semente, Nikhil and Superdad 1 2 Link to comment
