Norton
Welcome! V22 fleshes out the sound a little better IMO.The sound has energy and just pops in comparison to v21. Hope this helps. +1 ( vs v.15 or 20 at least). A week into my try out of 22 and I'm really impressed. Mainly playing SACD rips from SSD loaded into PC memory, I'm hearing a big, clean, detailed sound with loads of depth and texture on cymbals, plucked strings, drums brass etc. Sounds a lot like Wtfplay (also a memory player) but with convenience of gui and remote. I want to settle on a long term solution for digital replay, so will be interested to try HQP again and see how they compare now. Link to comment
Miracle1980
I confirm that this new version of Jriver is sounding very good. So far it has been a nice rediscovering! Link to comment
audio.bill
For those that may be interested, the latest beta version of MC22 (v22.0.32) "added 4x to the encoding options for DSD." This info is from their forum in the v22 thread. Link to comment
bobbmd
Musicophile- Agree with your statement. Now, do you have that annoying last.fm popup coming on everytime you play v22 on Mac and if so how do you get rid of it forever? Your opinion on going to Windows(bootcamp) on my Mac Mini(late 2012, i7 16gb RAM) just so I can use WDM to stream TIDAL and Qobuz? Thanks bobbmd Link to comment
