Superdad
Good news, but it's about time!! Only 10 years late... . Guess we'll have to wait ant see if the driver is an good and how it works--if at all--with current products. I doubt that Thesycon is shacking in their boots and getting ready to fold their tent any time soon. UpTone Audio LLC Link to comment

If your DAC supports DoP playback on MacOS X, it should also work well with MS USB AC2 driver Sunday programmer since 1985 Developer of PlayPcmWin Link to comment
Audio_ELF
Of course it's late... it's Microsoft! I wonder if it's going to be DoP for DSD... Of course it will support DoP for DSD. Thats the whole point, the driver and interface has no need to know (and no way to know) that its not normal PCM. Eloise --- ...in my opinion / experience... While I agree "Everything may matter" working out what actually affects the sound is a trickier thing. And I agree "Trust your ears" but equally don't allow them to fool you - trust them with a bit of skepticism. keep your mind open... But mind your brain doesn't fall out. Link to comment
