Octavius
Hi, I'm using a CCA to stream Tidal HiFi. Its digital out is connected to a Mytek Brooklyn DAC and instead of 16/44.1 the DAC is getting 24/44.1 files. Any help on this issue would be appreciated. master
Are you using Tidal app or a 3rd party app like BubbleUPnP? Either way CCA wouldn't upsample music. I'm thinking check the Tidal settings... maybe they are testing out high res... something like the Master setting that's below HiFi. Checked and mine is at HiFi... no new options or high res show up. Octavius
I tried it with the Tidal app and Bubble UPnP and the DAC always receives 24/44.1. I think I remember reading in another HiFi forum someone talking about this same issue. Does your DAC always receive 16/44.1? Checked to DAC and AVR... both show 16/44.1. Did you check in the app if there is any high res/master option for quality? wgscott
Your 24/44.1 stream (not file) is bit-identical to a 16/44.1 stream. The extra bits are zero-padding and are harmless. Link to comment
