Paul R
_Midnight at the Oasis_ is very cringeworthy in my book. Followed closely by _Muskrat Love_ and _Grandma Got Run Over By a Reindeer_. Pretty much all profane obscene offensive Rap music. Anyone who considers protocol unimportant has never dealt with a cat DAC. Robert A. Heinlein Link to comment
Paul R
If we're doing wives of Beatles, Linda McCartney wasn't all that good a singer either. Aw, but to be fair, Linda was an artist/photographer, not a musician. She did not want to play in the band, but Paul insisted. She took a long time to master 3 finger chords. -Paul Anyone who considers protocol unimportant has never dealt with a cat DAC. Robert A. Heinlein Link to comment
Paul R
I never said she had no talents. The Wings endeavour was still a disaster. Most of their tracks make me cringe. While to me they remind me of high school, and the first real serious dates with my wife to be. I still like skme of those silly lve songs! Paul R
I may not get any friends with this one, but "Born in the USA" is to my ears one of the most stupid songs ever recorded. Two chords alternating with absolutely no variety, no bridge, no nothing just plain boring. Sorry to all Springsteen fans here. Mmm- if you treat the music as just a slate to write on, then the lyrics make a lot more sense. Depressing, but sense. Born down in a dead man's town The first kick I took was when I hit the ground You end up like a dog that's been beat too much Till you spend half your life just covering up Born in the U.S.A. I was born in the U.S.A. I was born in the U.S.A. Born in the U.S.A. Got in a little hometown jam So they put a rifle in my hand Sent me off to a foreign land To go and kill the yellow man Born in the U.S.A. I was born in the U.S.A. I was born in the U.S.A. I was born in the U.S.A. Born in the U.S.A. Come back home to the refinery Hiring man says "Son if it was up to me" Went down to see my V.A. man He said "Son, don't you understand" I had a brother at Khe Sahn fighting off the Viet Cong They're still there, he's all gone He had a woman he loved in Saigon I got a picture of him in her arms now Down in the shadow of the penitentiary Out by the gas fires of the refinery I'm ten years burning down the road Nowhere to run ain't got nowhere to go Born in the U.S.A. I was born in the U.S.A. Born in the U.S.A. I'm a long gone Daddy in the U.S.A. Born in the U.S.A. Born in the U.S.A. Born in the U.S.A. I'm a cool rocking Daddy in the U.S.A.
